CHRISTCHURCH MEAT CO. (Press Association Telegram.) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 4. The annual meeting of the. Christchurch Meat Co. was- held this afternoon. The report stated that iu order to meet the growing requirements of tho company’s business, the directors issued debentures for £150,000. These, on being placed on the market towards the end of July were heavily over-subscribed within the Dominion before allotment date. After making provision for repairs, renewals and alterations the balance available for appropriation was £oo,469 15s IQd, which the directors recommended should bo disposed ol to pay a dividend of 4 per cent, for th© half-year, ended October 31, Ulo (making 8 per cent, for the year) £6769; to pay a bonus of 3. per cent on paid up capital, £/>076 .los; to second subscription to Patriotic I U ] K ‘ (making total of £SOOO to date) £3OOO- to add to general assurance reserve account £20,000; living an amount to carry forward of £3U,b/-* Os lod.
