EXCESS OF DEPOSITS. (Press Association Telegram.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 4. The large excess of deposits oveT withdrawals in the Post Office Savings Bank continues. This morning the Postmaster General (Sir Joseph Ward) said that for the_first two weeks ot January the excess of deposits ove? withdrawals was £60,512, as against 3 n excess in January, 1915, ot £39,450. The details are as follows : January 1-15, 1916. deposits £455,537, withdrawals £395,025, excess of deposits £60,512; January 1-15, 1915, deposits £399,375; withdrawals £359,925, excess of deposits £39,450.
