The telegraphed advice stated: “Programme arriving overland, including Chaplin.’’ As the World’s Pictures handle nothing hut Essanay Chas. Chaplin’s films, the reading was interpreted as meaning Glias. Chaplin, and advertised so in good faith. The fact that- the film which arrived 1 was one featuring Syd. Chaplin was not known until the actual screening. Steps have been taken which will prevent a recurrence of this kind of misunderstanding. Only guaranteed films of Chas.
