PROJECTED VISIT FROM TOLOGA
By Telegraph—Special Correspondent TOKOMARG BAY, July 22. Arrangements have been completed by tho committee of the Waiapu Rugby Sub-Union for tlie visit of a team ot’ seniors and juniors from Tologa Bay to play matches here on Saturday net. 1 understand that Tologa are sending on strong teams and the best available players are picked from this end. Tlie following are the members of the local teams: Seniors: Harrison, Wright, A. Hale, J. Hale, J. Oates, J. Kirwan, C. Jameson, J. Somervell, ~W. Smith, Wi Pewhairangi, Wynn, Tu Pcwhairangi, Baker, Scott, and Morgan. Juniors: Nihi Koqua, Pore, Pat White, Heke Pine, Geo. Oates, Walien, D. Grant, '. A. Forrester, Reg. looper, Thompson, and Shorran. Tho Lyric Picture C'o. have generously invited the whole of tlie visiting teams t-o put in the evening at their entertainment. Tlie committee have arranged for a series of scven-a-sidio «matches, which will be commenced on Saturday the 31st. The whole of the proceeds are to go in aid of tlie wounded, distressed, and deserving of the New Zealand soldiers. A patriotic dance has also been fixed by the Sub-Union for August tlie 26th. A committee meeting, to be held on -Monday night, will make detailed arrangements for the carrying out of both events. REFEREES FOR SATURDAY. For to-morrow’s matches on the Domain. Mr. A. Doran has been, appointed to referee tho third grade match, at 1.45; and Mr. F. Pudney the junior, at 3 o’clock.
