Dalgety and Company, Ltd., liavc received from their head office a cablegram to the effect that London Friday sales closed very firm : Compared with the last closing sales all merinos (greasy) 10 to 15. per cent, higher, excepting short wasty kinds which were 5 per cent, higher, scoured wools 10 per cent, higher; bulky scoured stained pieces and locks 25 per cent, higher; greasy no crossbreds 5 to 10 per cent, higher; medium coarse 10 per cent; scoured crossbreds 5 per cent and siines par to 5 per cent, higher. The ißank of New Zealand reports: We have received the following cable advice from our London office: “The wool sales have closed very firm. Compared with opening prices crossbreds — medium and co-arse —are about 5 per cent, and fi.no 2( per cent dearer. Merinos are fully 5 per cent, dearer. Current prices : Crossbreds, coarse 15d to 15d, medium 16d to 161 d, fine and half-bred 16d to 17s; merinos, inferior lid. superior 15d to IGd. i The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agcncv Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following cubic from their London Office re wool : “Wool sales closed. -Market strong compared with sixth February; greasy crossbred medium coarse ..0 per cent, higher.”
