FOREST SCHOOL FOR BOYS.
A wealthy citizen of Berlin, who does not wish his name to be mentioned has presented hi s fcllow-citi-ens with a gift of £200,000 to ho used healthy boys, to be built in the wooded district near the city. 'Hie chief subjects to be taught are modern languages and natural sciences and the boys are to receive their instruction and to spend the entire day in the open. Their food is to be simple, there is to be a total avoidance of alcohol and tobacco, and as much time as possible will be spent in foot excursions with their teachers in Tarions parts of the German Empire with the object of making the scholars thoroughly acquainted with their own country. 'Hie municipality has accepted the gift, and will arrange for giving effect to the donor’s wishes.
