The measure is likely to be before the House on Thursday. The more moderate section of the American press supports President Wilson’s attitude. Some newspapers hope that Britain will now participate in the San Francisco World’s Fair. (Received March 8, 5.5 p.m.) Estimates dhow that there is a likelihood of majorities of 100 in the House and 50 in the Senate in favor of an immediate repeal of the Tolls Exemption.
