INOCULATION AGAINST TYPHOID FEVER.
As proof of the efficacy of inoculation against typhoid fever, the French Government reports that among its troops employed in Africa, where the mortality from this disease was very high, there is now only one case per annum to every 5000 inoculated men. Among those not inoculated, and living under precisely similar conditions to the others, 1G per cent of the men still contract the disease.
