A sequel to Saturday night’e disturbance in Lowe Street and in he vicin it v of the Police Station, was heard at the Police Court yesterday, Messrs R. Johnston and H. E. Hill, J s.I ~ presidng. , 1 Patrick Prendergast was charged with having been drunk and gui ty or disorderly conduct on Saturday night. Accused did not appear. . Constable Henderson gave evidence as to accused’s behaviour, and a hne of 18s and costs (2s) was imposed. William Mills apeared on charges or (1) obscene language and (2) drunk and" disorderly behaviour. To obscene language Mills pleade J cruilty and Sen. -Sergeant Hutton outfined' the facts of the disturbance, as were reported in yesterday’s limes. Acscused said he was excited at the time and did not really mean to do any damage. _ , _ The Bench inflicted a fine ot £0 and costs (2s), in default one month’s imprisonment . For having been drunk and disorderly acused was committed and discharged.
