ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGEXMI WELLINGTON, Oct. 12. S. Trippiear, a conductor bn the city trams, fell from a car on Saturday night and was sent to hospital suffering from injuries to his back and concussion of the brain. He is still unconscious. Trippiear was on the footboard of the car—a “palace”—tlie last out to Seatoun, gatnenng fares from a big «crowd of passengers, and apparently missed ms footing and fell heavily on his hack. He is a Magic man. HASTINGS, Oct. 12. At the inquest concerning the death of Airs. Annie Webb, who died from injuries received as a result qf being thrown from a trap, a verdict of accidental death was returned. DUNEDIN, Oct, 12. On October 1 a female patient at Seaeliff Alontal Hospital was allowed to go for a walk in the grounds with a relative, who' undertook to return her to the institution. On the return he was pressed for time to ca'tch the train, and she urged him to allow her to go the short distance hack alone. As she seemed in a much improved condition, lie allowed her to do so, hut she did not return. A search was immediately made and portions of a woman’s clothes were found on the hillside near t,he beach. There is little doubt that she committed suicide.
