GISBORNE CLUB. The ‘present- season was opened in earnest on the Gisborne green on Saturday. Four rinks were occupied, and players sliowecVgood form for so early in the season. Following are- the results : Campbell, Maher, Arnold, Greig (s) 19 beat Fraser, Boulton, Ambridge, Ponsford (s) 16. Dean, Oxenham, Paltridge, Sawyer (skip) 28 beat G. Crawford, Reds tone, W. Pet-tie, Craig (skip) 18. »- Holmes, Nicol, Witty, Corson 23 beat Horne, Allan, George, Kyme 15. Players would do well to note that, if they want to be in the rinks formed by the Committee, they must be on the green by 2 p.m. each day. CRICKET TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA.
