MATAWAI. , [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT! MATAWAI, July 29. We are just now enjoying glorious weather, almost like summer. The old hands say they have never known' such at this time .oft year. The roads are almost as good as they were last summer. Mr Snow, the contractor for getting the stone for the roads and footpaths, is getting on quickly with his job and is getting out a very fanclass of sandstone. , Mr Fleming informs me that he has gob most encouraging answers from Mr MacDonald and tho hon. the Postmaster-General re the post office. It is almost'an accomplished fact. chat Mr Mortiman’s offer of a site will bo accepted.
