Private Hawkins (Canada) won the King’s Prize with a score of 330 and Sergeant Fenby (Australia) with 329 was second, while Private Blacklow with 323 was sixth. Private Halliday (Australia) with 321 was eighth, and Private Macalister (Australia) registered 319, and Private Harrison (Australia) 318. The four last-named Australians won a badge and £lO each and five other Australians —Semmens, Cross, Green, Garrity, and Calliford—a badge and £5 each. Instead of ten shots at the three last ranges the King’s Prize competitors fired 15 shots at 900 and 1000 yards. Ommundsen, firing ten rounds in 30 seconds, was one point ahead of Sergt Fenby at the end of the 900 yards range, but Ommundsen unaccountably missed the target in his seventh shot at 1000 vards and finished with 324. Meanwhile a crowd had gathered round Private Hawkins to see him fire his last shot. He required an inner to tie with Sergeant Fenby, but scored a bull. , Private Hawkins’ range scores were 100, 48, 46, 68, 6S. The winner is a Toronto lawyer. He lias been shooting for six years, but this is his first visit to Bisley. He secured his place in the Canadian team as a substitute for an absent man, and throughout lias shot vitli the greatest sang froicl, smoking between the ranges and chewing gum while firing. He met with a great reception while the Canadians chan eel him around the camp. A. G. Fulton won the St. George s Vase with a score of 119 and Harrison (Australia) won the Flkmton Challenge Cup. The Duchess of Wellington presented the prizes. The Australians were greatly cheered’ on receiving the Mackinnon Cup. Colonel Chaytor, a New Zmlander, with a of 191, gna-ifiod f° r the King’s Prize final.
