The big auction sale of bankrupt stock, travellers’ samples now being conducted by Clark and Co., in premises opposite Ormond’s in Peel Street, attracted another huge attendance on Saturday, and once again bargain hunters had a day out, almost every article necessary to a home was submitted and knocked down at what appeared to be ridiculously low prices. The auctioneers hold their reputation for rapidity in accepting a bid aiid the three assistants engaged in handing out the purchases were kept continually ou the move. Indeed, the auctioneering profession under the Clark and Co. system necessitates prompt delivery to the buyer. There appears to be no waste of time and buyers reap the benefit. Drap4|h clothing, hoots, harness, cutlery, ironmongery. etc., etc., were submitted in record time. Judging by the expressions of. approval patrons of' the sale received full satisfaction.
