GISBORNE TIMES OFFICE. The following are the readings of the barometer in our office, taken at 6 a.m. each day:—

GOVERNMENT METEOROLOGIST’S REPORT,

Present indications are for strong west to south-westerly winds; cold, squally and changeable weather; with heavy showers passing over many parts of the country, especially the West Coast and southern districts of the South Island. The barometer is still unsteady, but is due to rise everywhere.
