DEFINITION OF TIME BILL. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TMt.ECB.ua WELLINGTON, July 24. In the House to-day, Mr Sidev moved the second reading of the Definition of Time Bill (Daylight Saving), the Bill this vear being modified to make it applicable only during November, December, and January. The Bill was supported by town members and opposed by country' representatives. The House divided on the motion for the second reading, which was carried by 36 votes to 23. GAMING ACT AMENDMENT. Mr Wilford moved the second reading of the Gaming Act Amendment, giving power to increase the number of totalisator permits. At 11.30 the adjournment of the debate was moved by Mr. Young. Mr. Wilford protested against the motion. It was a Government attempt to gag the House giving expression on the Bill, because the Premier had promised to give the member for Waipawa an opportunity to introduce his amendment to the Gaming Act. ' The adjournment was carried on the voices, and the House rose at 11.40 p.m.
