KING’S BIRTHDAY PAARDE.

BIG MUSTER EXPECTED

Major A. G. Beene, local senior officer,' has issued the following orders regarding the parade for the King’s Birthday.— ■ (1) “In accordance with District Order No. 80 A, the undermentioned troops will parade at the Garrison Hall on, Tuesday, June 3, 1913. at 9.30 a.m., to take part in the celebrations in honor of His Majesty the King’s Birthday: A. Squadron. 9th (W.E.C.) Mounted Rifles, D. and F. Companies, Ist Battalion 9th (W.E.C.) Regiment, Nos. 7, 19, and 65 Companies Senior Cadets.

(2\ Dress.—Review order service dress, all ranks.

(3.) This parade will count as whole day parade. (4.) All Reserve, unattached, and retired officers, veterans, and the Gisborne City Band are cordially invited to attend 1 .

Speaking to a “Times” reporter last night. Major Beorc stated that he expected to have somewhere about 460 troons on’parade on the King’s Birthday, made up as follows: Mon nteds 60, D. Company 90, F. Company 60, and 1 Cadets 250. -

The parade, he explained, would he similar to that of last year. The troops would march from the Garrison. Hall, via. Road’s Quay, to the Post Office, and thence along Gladstone Road to Carnarvon Street, where the March Past and Royal Salute wouldha held in the same paddock as last year, if possible. As the parade is to he a ceremonial one, the big body of troops should make a bravo showing.
