INTERNATIONAL UNION FORMED [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT! PARIS, May 26. An international boxing union has been established. It will prepare-de-finite final rules for the championship of the world, and decide disputes. The union consists of representatives of the New Y'ork 'State Athletic Commission, and the Belgian and French Boxin«- Federation, but the National Sporting Club is omitted on the ground that it is insufficiently important to partake in an international organisation. NATIONAL SPORTING CLUB’S POSITION, (Received Mav 27. 11.30 p.m.] LONDON, May 27. The National Sporting Club states that it refused to join the union because anyone is. able to promote a boxing match. If the boxing authorities had powers similar to Jockey clubs they would be able to do as much.
