INCREASE IN PRICE OF MILK.

At the annual meeting of the wholesale milk suppliers held last night it was stated that suppliers were experiencing the worst year ever known in the milk industry. Many suppliers had already use up their winter fodder during the dry summer, and the prospects of many wore eery gloomy. An increase of I 'd per gallon was agreed on as the price for milk from August 31st. A resolution was passed favoring the selling of milk at factory prices. A curious circumstance was that at the supper which succeeded the meeting condensed milk had to be used for the tea, other milk being unprocurable.
