TO-DAY’S MATCHES

The team to represent Y.M.A.G. in their match versus Gisborne to-day, at the Reserve, will be selected from tho following:—Wilson, Turnbull, Hudson, Powell, Miller, Mitchell, 11. Gardner, 11. Renwiek, Alenzies, J. Hughes, J. M. Dick, G. Webster, Hosier, Greene, and Hollands. Iviek-off 3 o’clock.

Tho report congratulated tho affiliated Longues on a prosperous season. Tho balance sheet showed that the finances were very sound, the profit on tho year’s work being £261, plus •£lO5, grants given. The election of officers resulted : President, Air D. W. McLean; general secretary. Air H. Oakley; lion, treasurer, Air W. G. Carlaw ; council, Messrs A. E. Powell (Auckland), A. Campbell (Canterbury), E. Watts (ALarlborough), P. Ussher (Wanganui). W. T. Wynvard (Hawke’s Bay), A. Powley (Wellington); lion, registrar, Air A. Powley; auditors, Alessrs B. Brigham and S. Barry; -selectors, Alessrs 11. Ale Donald (Auckland), AV. S. Bruce ton), AV. Br-ansden (Canterbury). The ALarlborough League affiliated. It was decided to .send 22 men and two managers to Australia, the team to be selected on Saturday week.

THE RUGBY CAME.

The Poverty Bay .Rugby Union will open their season at Victoria Domain this afternoon, when the Maori tops, will play ih-e Patella reps, and a junior match from the same sides will also he played. The teams are about as strong as could bo chosen, and interesting games should result. Piny will start at 3 o’clock in both matches. Patrons of the game .should find the trams of great convenience in gottilin' to and from the ground, and it is anticipated that there will bo a largo attendance to witness the attractive bul-of-fare to bo presented this afternoon.
