Barry; -selectors, Alessrs 11. Ale Donald (Auckland), AV. S. Bruce ton), AV. Br-ansden (Canterbury). The ALarlborough League affiliated. THE RUGBY CAME.

The Poverty Bay .Rugby Union will open their season at Victoria Domain this afternoon, when the Maori tops, will play ih-e Patella reps, and a junior match from the same sides will also he played. The teams are about as strong as could bo chosen, and interesting games should result. Piny will start at 3 o’clock in both matches. Patrons of the game .should find the trams of great convenience in gottilin' to and from the ground, and it is anticipated that there will bo a largo attendance to witness the attractive bul-of-fare to bo presented this afternoon.
