MEETING OF TAIRAWHITI BOARD.

SITTING RESUMES TO-DAY

The Tairawhiti Land Board resumed its sitting at Lysnars Hall yesterday morning, before His Honor Judge Jones and the business was of a considerable nature, the Board not rising until 5 p.m. The sitting will' continue to-day, and probably to-morrow. Applications for confirmation of leases were granted as follows (the terms of the lease being in parenthesis in each ease):— Peacocke and Co., Ltd. (Messrs. Nolan and Sheet), from Mini Kcita Haoreone and others, of Homomatuku, 4 8.T.C.A., comprising 15 acres (3 years). „ , , Peacocke and Co., Ltd. (Messrs. Nolan and Sheet), from John Mon is and William Morris, of Hauomatuku, No. SB, comprising 15 acres (3 years). Renata Ngata (Messrs. Nolan and Sheet), from Heni Mare to and others, of Marangairoa No. 28, comprising 490 acres (42 years). Applications to summon meetings of owners under part 18 of the “Native Land Act, 1909,” were allowed as under (the nature of the proposed alienation being given in parenthesis in each case:— Moutere No. 1, subdivision No. 2 (that the said land or part thereof he sold to George Edward Ormond, Messrs.
