THE TRADE WITH HULL. FASTER STEAMSHIP SERVICE WANTED.
[INDEPENDENT PRESS CABLE! LONDON, April 30. '[•he Victorian Premier, Mr. Watt, paid a visit to Hull to-day. Mr Sanderson, presiucnt of the local" Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that a faster steamship service was needed between Hull and Australia, and one that would bring moro wool, fruit, and produce generally from the Commonwealth. The president further stated that there, was not a p-ort in Karachi, India, from which steamers were not running regularly to Hull. Mr. Watt remarked, that if wool could be brought to Hull refrigerating spare could be- provided for fruit.
