PERSONAL NOTES.
A memorial to the late Mr T. E. Taylor will bo unveiled in Christchurch next month during the annual conference of the New Zealand Alliance. Mr J. C. Hill, who for some 23 years has been headmaster at the i'eilding District High School, relinquished his duties on Wednesday, having retired on superannuation. His Honor Judge Jones leaves on .Monday for Wairoa to continue the sitting of the Native Land Court. Mr J. C. White, driller for the N.Z. Oilfields, Ltd., died yesterday morning. Deceased was suffering from an internal complaint, and lor the past tvko months had been in a private hosJ&ol. Deceased was unmarried, and had no relatives in New Zealand. Mr Roadie, of Wanganui, is at present relieving Mr Sargisson, station clerk, at the Gisborim railway station. The Mayor (Mr J-. R. Kirk), who is a captain of Cadets, has been granted twelve months’ leave of absence iiom his military duties, in order to devote liis time to municipal matters.
