ITALY’S RECENT RAID
[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT] (Received Aug. 2. 12.45 a.m.) ROME, Aug. 1. Commander Millo, reporting on the recent raid in the Dardanelles, describes how he intended to torpedo the Turkish fleet.
[The British Charge d‘Affairs- . m Constantinople cables that no action has been taken to close the Dardanelles, as was threatened by the Turkish Government, and that the strait will be allowed to remain open unless the Italians make another attack. Orders have been sent to the Turkish troops in Albania to cease hostilities.]
