A LETTER OF THANKS.
(TO THE EDITOR.) Sir, —To the people of Gisborne and the surrounding districts who so generously ..supported the functions that were given for my benefit and to those wlio made donations to my wife and myself, I desire to retxirn thanks. Also i appreciate the kind-hearted efforts M .the performers of the Rice Dramatic Company, the stage hands, the musicians, and also the fancydress performers and the Gisborne Band and all the gentlemen who so kindlv gave their services; also the football performers for their good fellowship and feeling. Gisborne people are but on their own for brothel ly and sisterly feeling for mo in distress through an accident. I wish all to accept my sincere thanks for their kindness. I am, etc., CHAS. PHILLIPS.
