TUEANGANUI CLUB. The heavy westerly wind did not conduce to the best of bowling on Saturday afternoon, but a large number assembled on the Turanganui green for their usual "roll-up.” Lour matches in the Bennett Cup competition resulted as follows: — W. Hay IS beat F. Gray 16-This was a close game ri"ht throughout. On the 9th head the players were 10 all, and on the 19th head 16 all. Hay got in singles on the last two heads and won by that margin. J. J. Martin 17 beat M. G. Nasmith, jun., 13.—0 n the 9th head the scores were 7 all, and 8 all on the 11th hear. The rest of the game was well contested but Martin secured victory by four points. F. Gray 21 beat W. Howard 13. —Up to the Bth head the «ame wac very even, the players being level —6 all. From this point, however, Gray got the advanage and won by S points. A. Sawyer (challenger) 21 beat W. Paltridge 11. —This was a "star” game. From the 6th head Sawyer got the upper hand, and won comfortably at the finish.
