BOWLING.
NORTHERN BOWLING ASSOCIATION. THE ANNUAL MEETING. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 10. The annual meeting of the Northern Bowling Association was held tonight, Mr J. S.. Keith, the president, being in tlie chair. In moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet the chairman expressed the wish that when the Association celebrated its twenty-first anniversary there would be a united! flag for the whole of the Dominion, or, at any rate, for the whole of the Associations of the North Island. The committee had journeyed to Christchurch a few weeks ago in connection with suggested amalgamation between the Northern Association and the New Zealand Association, and the result was shown in a report. It would be unwise for him to criticise at this stage, and he would leave it as it was in the report. The report and balance sheet were adopted, and tlie election of officers resulted : President, Mr J. S. Keith; vice-presi-dent, Mr Maurice Casey (Auckland); hon. auditor, Mr H. F. Allen!; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. J. Roberts. The 1912 tournament was fixed to open on Monday, January Bth, in Wellington, and the president, secretary, and Mr Brunskill were appointed a subcommittee te draw up the tournament programme'.
