PAYMENT OF MEMBERS. OBJECTIONS FROM THE OPPOSITION. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT J (Received August 15, 10.50 p.m.) LONDON, August 15. The Opposition is moving to reduce the payment to members, firstly, by a lump sum, and secondly, to £3oo' per year. The legality of tlie 'Government proceeding •by resolution, instead of by a Bill is questioned. Mr Lloyd Georg© said tlie Government proceeded ib yn. resolution, preferring an onual discussion instead l of making the principle rigid by an Act.
