INDIGNATION AT ITS ABOLITION. A HINT FOR HON. T. MACKENZIE. [PEE PEESS ASSOCIATION.J WELLINGTON, August 15. At the Agricultural and Pastoral Associations’ Conference to-day, Mr. A. S. Orbcll. in his presidential address, made reference to the fact that the Taieri seat had bourn selected by the Boundary Commissioners at the one to go. Mr. Orbcll said that as an Otago man he could only say he was certain that an intense feeling of regret would be felt throughout the who lei of Otago when the people of that province read in the previous days’ papers that Mr. Mackenzie’s electorate had been wipod out. . Addressing Mr. Mackenzie, he continned : "Should von decide to woo another electorate, I. am sure the farming community in both Islands will wish you success, as they recognise the good work you have done in your Department while Minister in charge. If it should be, on the other hand, that you would like a holiday fro mi the worries of the platform, I should like to suggest n to the powers that be, that if they wish to make an appointment that would be extremely popular with the farmers throughout the Dominion they need not go past the ' Hon.
