AUCKLAND, August 14. A man named Ralph Lennard Wakefield, between 30- and 40 years of age, slipped from the bow of his motor launch at Huia, Manaliau harbor, this afternoon. The engine was running, and Wakefield was unable to grab hold of the launch, and there was no. one else in the craft to throw him a line or stop the engine. The accident, was noticed from the shore, hut- before assistance arrived the. body had sunk, and so far lias not been recovered.
