(Before Mr W. A. Barton, S.M.) CYCLING WITHOUT A LIGHT. For cycling on Read’s Quay at night without a light a man named James Thomas Richmond Avas fined 10s and 7s costs. BREACH OF FACTORIES ACT. The Inspector of*Factories (Mr W. H. Westbrooke) proceeded against Walter Samson, proprietor of the Turanganui Hotel, for failing to keep a holid'ay book, and, on a second information, for having failed to keep Avages and time books, and in each easel a fine of £1 and 7s costs was inflicted.

DRUNKENNESS. A young man named Daniel McGuire who was charged with drunkenness a few days ago, but was remanded for curative treatment, Avas before the Court yesterday. He was fined 10s and 2s costs, and ordered to pay medical expenses amounting to £1 14s; in default, 7 days’ imprisonment. PROCURING LIQUOR.
