When the Legislative Council met yesterday afternoon Mr. Rigg asked the Attorney-General who was responsible for the following standing advertisement appearing ill “Roynolds’ Newspaper,” and especially misleading in reference to land grants contained therein as regards New Zealand :—Assisted passages to Australia —£s to Queensland, £6 to New South Wales, £6 to West Australia, £lO to New Zealand. Free land grants. Apply at once for application forms and frill particulars to the' nearest Cook’s office.. Thos.
