S.A. SALE OF WORK.
Readers are reminded of the sale of work at the Salvation Army Barracks to bo opened at 7.46 o’clock this evening by the M'ay’or. All yesterday workers were busy putting tlie finishing touches on the stalls, for which a large number of useful articles have been secured. Following are the stallholders :—Drapery—Mesdames Morris and Houlden and Miss Brown; fancy drapery—Mrs Roke ; flower stall— Misses Calcott and Kelsey ; gift tree —Mesd'aines Yaxdley, Coleman, and Thomson ; refreshments—Mrs Henzlor and Misses Smale, Houl'den, and Collier j miscellaneous—Mrs Dickens and Miss Redwood; fruit and drinks —Miss W. Fisher and Capt. Church. Tho room has been decorated nicely, and the general effect is very attractive. The sale will continue for three nights, and to-morrow afternoon it will also lie open. Each evening a short musical programme will be given, a feature of which will be solos by Major Dutton. The sale is to bo
under the direction of Brigadier and Mrs. Albiston and party, who arrive from South this morning. On Sunday the visiting officors will conduct two services at His Majesty’s.Theatro, one at 3 p.m. and tho other at 8.15 p.m. The sale of work and the meet-
ings are on behalf of tho Army’s selfdenial fund.
