ROWING.
OPENING REGATTA. Delegates from the two rowing clubs met last night and drew up the following programme for the regatta to be held to-morrow to mark tho ojjening of the season:—2 p.m., procession commencing at Tarpheru bridge and proceeding down to end of wharf and return, in the following order: Sprite (commodore’s launch), other launches, single sculls, double sculls, four-oared racing boats, pleasure boats; official opening of rowing season from Band Rotuda by His Worship the Mayor (Mr. J. Townley) ; 8 races. Tho following officials were appointed: Judge, Mr. J. Townley; deputy-judge, Mr. E. P. Joyce; starter, Mr. W. J. Hennessy; commodore, Mr. L. B. SherriE; assistant comino-
dores, Mesw J. S. AVaucliop, AV. Johnston, a. l R. D. B. Robinson; committee, Messrs J. AVe lib, D. E. Dustin, S. Lodger, A. Kirk, A. E. N. Smith, F. Cumming (lion. sec.).
