municate with the Zoological Gardens in Australia, with the view of obtaining a mat© for the animal. The following additions are being made to the Zoological Gardens by the Rev. D. C. Bates and others:— Two red wallabies, two 'kangaroo rats, two grey opp'osums, two mandarin ducks, two corellas, two Moreton Bay rosellas, two scaley-breasted parroquets, two red-oliecked paroquets, two sacred ibis, and either one pair of young kangaroos or emus. A pair of hedgehogs. is also being added to the collection, which is proving a great attraction to visitors to the park.

There was some amusement at a meeting of the Otago Football Association recently.
