CHURCH GUILDS.

A drawing-room party under the auspices of the Holy Trinity Church was held at To Ban College yesterday afternoon. Thero was a good attendance, the ladies being in the'majority. The preceedings were opened with a hymn, and then tlic Bishop addressed tho gathering. He explained why the meeting hud been convened, and expressed a hope that the ladies would take the matter up and carry it through. He. called upon Mr Long to come forward, and take the names of the ladies who were willing to help. Mr. Long said it was proposed to start a senior and a junior adies’ guild, and he asked the ladies win were willing to join to hand in then names. The following ladies wer- appointed on the senior guild: Mesdames DeLautour, 11. Williams, Dawson Thomas, Akroyd, Ivissling, Hiuiliain, Gosse, and Wilson, Misses Brooke-Ta.vlor, and West (lion. sec.).
