He has refused to permit any more letters to be sent to Maghezen, saying if the Sultan wants MacLeau let him send an expedition to release him. The Sheiff of Wegans’s efforts to get- troops to assist in the release of Kaid Mac Lean failed. He has returned to Alcazar.
