The ship William Mitchell, sailed from Newcastle for Hausco, in Chili, on July 8, in defiance of a prohibition bv the shipping master. A difficulty arose over the refusal of the master to take a member of bis crewon board, and the shipping master withheld the clearance, and the ship s articles and log. The ship sailed without the latter documents.
