Colley, sk, 18 Morrison, tk. 14 | (Burke and Colley held the game safe throughout, being 8 to 5 on the sth head, 17 to 10 on the 10sb, and 18 to 13 on the 15th. The winners gave their opponents one point of a handicap.

Two Whangarei boys, 1L and 1-1 years of age, have been playing at bushrangers, and have, it is alleged, been indulging in somewhat ouh practice with a pe„ rfl i. They left home on Tuesday last with a pea rifle and 12 boxes of ammunition, and spent Wednesday aad Thursday seeking fun. They eventually fell into tbe bands of tbe police, who took possession of tbe rifle and 10 boxes of ' partridges.
