AN EMIR KILLED AND SUCCESSOR CHOSEN.

Sir F. Lugard, High Commissioner in Northern Nigeria, reports that the Emir of Tadiega was killed in tho reoent fighting. The British installed Chiroma as Emir on probation, in accordance with tbe wish of the inhabitants.
