At a mee'.i 13 of lliJ League of Cricketera, held to discuss the question of district BfcWfat and the present position of tho 0 “ 0j letters were reoeived from Williams.own, Coburg, and Malvern Clubs, stating that they had decided to support the Melbourne Club, while the Esstndon Club notified that they decided to remain with the Association, The matter will be further discussed at a conference with the Melbourne Club qn Tuesday. Sydney, May 11.
Too Cricket Association has eppliod to the trustees of the ground for dates which, if granted, leave no opportuoity for the proposed Eoglish team to play, excepting mid-weak matohes. The Melbourne Club ttlso applied for dates similar to those engaged for the last Marylebono team. A player received a letter from Melbourne yesterday stating that it is rumoted Jackson has been asked and has consented fo bring out a team.
