Dunedin, last night,

I Tho Commission concluded taking evidonco ro-day, and leave for Wellington in the morning William Lambert’s evidoboe varied but slightly from that givtn at the trial of Meikle. He aiways held that he was wrongfully convioted of perjnry.

Witness was cross-examined by Mr Atkinson, but he did not vary in his testimony. Troup, recalled, said he bad heard about a letter written by Meikle about suiDg the Company for £SOOO, but he had never seen i , and Lambert was mistaken in suppoe« ing be had given it to witness.
