KAITI-CITY CLUB. The annual general meeting of the KaitiCit.y Football Club was held in the Royal Hotel last evening, Mr H E. Maude, president of the club, presiding. There waß a very large attendance, and the m> eting was a most enthusiastic one. The secretary, Mr J. A. Eaton, delegate to the Rugby Union, notified the meeting that the Union did not intend to make any alterations in the boundaries, and the election of offloers was thereupon proceeded with, aud resulted as follows : Patron, Mr J. Mr W. Johnston notified that he intended to again present a trophy to the best junior forward, contending that a Club lhat did not foster a spirit of emulation amongst its juniors bad little hope of maintaining a crack senior team. Mr J. J. Martin concurred, and offered a s : milar trophy f r the best junior back. Mr H. E. Maude offered a trophy for the fce3t all round senior player, but decided to leave the allotting cf the trophy to the committso, upon learning that Messrs Harris Bro j . had already given a handsome £3 3s trophy for that purpose. In returning tbaoks for the honor cods ferred upon him by electing him once more as Resident of the Ivsiti-City Club, Mr Maude said he had fully made up hie mind on retiring, as the Club eesmod fated never to win a fixture under his presidency. He was very pleased th t the Club had gone in for systematic training, which alone had enabled them io win the championship, as it bad enab'ed West End to win the jr vious es u . on. He urged upon members of the Club the importacce of Inking the field physically fit. He had Biways taken a keen interest in the gamp, and would continue to do all he ccu'd to foster football in the district.
