Tho Piosidont and Storetary of the Auckland Railway Leaguo had a conferonco with tho Hon. Mr Carroll to-day in reforenoo to the Gisborne East Coast railway. Mr Carroll expressed his sen9o of tho importance of the railway, and Btslod ho would do all ho could to help tho proj ot. It was stated that other important lines would come into the group, Buoh bb Te Puke-Mamaku, and Tauranga-Kati-kati.
