Mr Criok admitted that bo had had largo sums from Close's firm in tho shape of loans, but all were repaid. Ho challenged tho production of tho report of an accountant who examined his private aooount*. Ha took absolute responsibility, and was prepared, at tho proper time, to defend every act of his polioy as Minister of Lands.
