A case which promises to bs interesting is to be argued at the Magistrate’s Court next week. The Wellington Eieotrie Light and Power Company, whose premises ore situated in the centre of the city and adjacent to the wharves, have been served with a notice to abate the smoke nuisance from the boiler furnac°, and have been cited to appear before the Court'on (be oharge that they have failed to comply with the warning. The company recently involved the City Corporation in some tbiDg like LIOOO by giving notice that the fir© alq-rrn wirei, which aro carried on the company’s poles, must be removed, as the oompany require extra wire? owing to the extension of business.
