At the annual meeting of the council of the Chambers of Commerce of Australia it was deoided to invito the Chambers of Oommcrco of tho Empiro to hold the next conference, aftor the one to be bold in London in July, at Sydney. It was resolved to urgo on the Federal authorities tho necessity of protection for shipping along the north eastern ooaet from possible attack by enemy, or in the alternative connecting all Queensland railways with Brisbane.
