LATE SIR A. J. CADMAN

(Her Press Association.) Auckland,.last night. A large party from Auckland, including the Mayor and Premier, left by steamer for Coromandel this morning to attend the funeral of Sir Alfred Cadman.

j Coromandel, Saturday. Deceased’s father was one ox the founders , of Lodge Coromandel, of which he was a member up till his death, and was buried with the honors of tho craft. The remains : of the deceased will be brought hither from Auckland on Sunday by the p.s. Wakatere, and the funeral will take place upon arrival of the steamer. The interment will take place in the Anglican portion of Buffalo Cemetery, where the doj ceased’s father, mother, wife and sister are I buried. In compliance with a request made by the late Sir Alfred Cadman, be ■ will be buried with Masonic honors by his, !odge._ Visiting brethren who visit to take part in the Masonic procession should come prepared, and it is expected that the Most Worshipful Past Grandmaster, Bro. i Seddon, will be present, 1

Beautiful wreaths have been sent by Mrs Webster to the deeeased'c late residence at Avondale on behalf of the Ministry, the Premier, Mrs Seddon and family, and Sir Joseph and. Lady Ward, Tho Government will be represented at the funeral by the Premier; the AttorneyGeneral (the Hon. Colonel Pitt), and probably the Minister for Mines (the Hon. J. McGowan). The Mayor of Auckland (the Hon. E. Mitchelson) will also be present. Messages of condolence have been received from all parts of the colony by the family, and the fiags of the Government offices and prominent buildings in town were still at half-mast to-day.
