TIMARU RACES. (Per Press Association.) Timaru, last night. The South Canterbury Jockey Club’s Spring Meeting was held to day. The weather was very cold, but the attendance large. Tfio sum of £2842 was handled on tho machino, or £677 more than last Spring. Following are the results Hurdles.—Slow Tom 1, Hurricane 2, Reliance 3. All started. Won easily. Div., £2 7s. , Welter. Count Kolmar 1, Black Tracker 2, Sanfoin 3. Victor, Lee-Enfield, and Junipor wove sovatchod. Won by a bare longth. Divs,, £4 13 and £6 6s. Timaru Handicap—Buluwayo 1, Secret Society 2, Bombarfdo 3. Genoral Symons was scratched. .Won by two longths. Diva., £l3 3s and £1 15s. Steeplechase.—Agitator 1, Swagger 2. Victor was scratched. Only the pair finished. Div., £2 Bs. Trot.—Sandow 1, Thunderbolt 2, Fichu 3. Black Star was scratched. Won easily. Diva., £2 19a and £1 7s. FlyiDg Handicap.—Delarey 1, Reclaimer 2, Sophistry 3. Secret Society, Sanfoin, and Beau/cierc were scratched. Won by a longth. Div., £lO and £l.
