SAFELY ARRIVED IN PORT.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Received 8,36 p.m., Jan. 17. Sydney, Jan. 17. Arrivod : Tho stcamor Whangape, all well. Sbo was detained by the stormy weather in the Tasman Sea.
A cablegram from Sydney on Saturday morning stated : —“ The stoamer Whangape is now seven and a half days out from Tiinarn. It is supposed her detention is duo to tho heavy gale.”
